What Are Our Sociology Alumni doing?
Research Methodology, The Survey, and The Consent Form
Undergraduate students enrolled in SOC 343 (Sociology of Organizations) and SOC 340 (Sociology of Work) complete CITI human subjects' research. They then participate in one of five roles on the Sociology Majors Project.
The research has been approved by West Chester University's Institutional Review Board and has been supported by the College of Arts and Sciences with two Student Engagement Grants and by the University with a Graduate Assistant for AY 2016-2017.
Students in SOC 343 and 340 began collecting data in fall 2015. Alumni from the graduating classes of 2011, 2012 and 2013 were contacted about the Sociology Majors Project. 40 Alumni have participated in the survey.

In the spring of 2019, students in SOC 343 updated the SMP by surveying 38 alumni who graduated between the years of 2011 and 2016.
